We focus on synthesizing size-controlled 2D molecular assemblies from precursors like bulk materials, single molecules, or crystals, emphasizing graphene oxide, TMDs, and 2D organic frameworks. Our research spans molecular recognition, developing synthetic receptors for biomedical applications using layered nanostructures, and enhancing sensing applications for diagnostics and environmental monitoring. We explore antimicrobial properties of 2D materials and their catalytic activity, including using graphene oxide for Diels-Alder reactions and nanomaterial mediated photocatalysis. Additionally, we are pioneering next-generation lipid nanoparticles for precise drug delivery, optimizing their structure-activity relationships to improve therapeutic outcomes and advance precision medicine.
